Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
The Bi-Energy and Genie DC equipment made by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for example, in industrial environments where the machine must travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the advantages and flexibility of a diesel powered generator using a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Several of the key characteristics offered by this combination consist of up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Also, the zero tail-swing provided by nearly all models, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
Proportional lift controls and drive controls also provide smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. The 48V DC electric drive system offers emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates 90 degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
Genie machines by Terex are ideal for both indoor and outdoor construction applications. This model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine extreme lifting versatility and over, up and out positioning capabilities. The outreach provided by this model is the best in the market.
Diesel engine machinery on nearly all modes have an articulating boom that offers zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These equipment are ideal in small or narrow places. In addition, they provide excellent torque, grade and terrain maneuverability and utmost power. The diesel engines are quiet in general also. The majority of models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on rough and uneven surfaces.
The 4 or 2 wheel drive models, provide the rough terrain features and high ground clearance that make these desirable to add to any fleet. The jib boom models are available and offer added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models as well.
