Designed for Safety
Yale has a great history for providing safe lift trucks that are suitable for a variety of applications. The ability to engineer and produce units for enhanced safety comes from the new technology which is available in the material handling business and the company's experience.
In their newest designs, Yale has started integrating newly available technologies. Some of the new technologies that are on the market are initially applied to forklift trucks and then later proven further through durability testing and functionality. The company conducts many controlled field tests and reliability development in order to ensure their products are really safe.
Some of Yale's new designs and technology which has been incorporated as standard features for their fleet in order to improve overall safety include the following:
Operator Compartment Controls and Ergonomics
The operator compartment has been designed with ergonomics in mind, using state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to ensure that the operator avoids exhaustion as well as heavy repetitive motions. These added comforts help to increase overall efficiency.
Adjustable Operators Controls and Compartment
Adjustable operator controls allow the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the machinery user friendly, regardless of who is utilizing it. Before beginning their shift, the operator can make sure he or she is as comfortable as possible.
Operator Presence System
The Operator Presence System prevents the hydraulic system operation from being used if the operator is not in the correct operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on IC engine truck models.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The drop-down design brings the liquid propane gas tank out from the protected center of the truck and down to the operator's natural handling position making the tank easier to change.
