Kinds
Clark manufactures an array of forklift trucks such as pneumatic trucks, cushion trucks and narrow aisle. The various models vary in terms of the way they run. For example, heavy-duty forklifts used for agriculture and construction run on an internal combustible engine. Narrow aisle types designed for use within warehouses and various other confined spaces run on rechargeable battery.
Lifting Capacity
According to the kind of Clark forklift trucks, the lifting capacity can differ. Battery-powered forklifts have a range from 1100-3000 kilograms, depending on the model. For a greater capacity range, the internal combustion or IC types are suggested. They could lift from 1400-8000 kilograms.
Engine
AC batteries, either 48 volt or 36 volt, are used to operate Clark electric forklift trucks. The internal combustion or IC engine kinds have 52 to 100 horsepower engines. The IC types have automatic transmission with single-speed, two-speed or three-speed kinds.
Frame/Cab
The center of the forklift is the frame/cab assembly. This includes the operator's overhead protective cover, the controls and the seat. The frame includes the engine, fuel tank, transmission, trans-axle and wheels.
