A lift truck to be a successful unit should be built powerful to last the working environments for numerous hours of use. It should be able to transport cargo effectively and quickly as well. The machine must also be comfortable and ergonomically correct for the operator.
The Yale powertrain is reliable and rugged. It has to be powerful enough to always provide incredible strength through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs along with really tough shafts and robust gears. The steer axle, drive, transmission and engine are all isolated to lessen noise and vibration inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda Gas & LP Engines:
GM's gas engines and Mazda's LP engine utilize cast iron blocks to promote long life. These equipment offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which requires minimum repair or adjustment. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which reduce wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Within the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio offers excellent torque. Amazing fuel consumption is provided by efficient fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The regular Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears which are 15 percent stronger and shafts that maximize resistance to rough driving. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of previous packs. Lastly, there is available electronic inching which automatically adjusts so as to decrease maintenance requirements by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system uses a computer-controlled power reversal which increases durability, extends tire life, and minimizes shock loading. What's more, the auto deceleration feature reduces both break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is engineered for extra strength with its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This particular component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are completely sealed against contamination and basically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to be able to protect the steer cylinder from debris and damage. It has fixed-length tie rods to add more durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. Moreover, cast ductile iron axle reduces wear and increases toughness.
As part of Yale's regular packages, they have included a lot of safety features and ergonomic features. These types of machinery will handle tough settings, while keeping the operator safe and comfortable for the duration of their shift.
