Rough terrain forklifts have been produced by CareLift Equipment, ever since 1962. Each and every day the company strives to help their customers reach their goals and deliver value since they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.
Boom lifts are available in 2 general types, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. Both these units are normally powered hydraulically. Most often straight booms are the great alternative for jobs which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment can rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be raised vertically to below horizontal. Because the operator can steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machine. These models come in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as diesel, propane or gas configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift units perform jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move easily around any objects in the work environment.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is necessary prior to using boom lifts so as to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks which used to need many more man hours to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These machinery have changed the material handling business and have really increased production.
